Headache / Migraine

Headaches can be categorized into primary and secondary headaches. Primary headaches consist of migraines, tension-type headaches, cluster headaches (trigeminal autonomic cephalalgies), and are much more common than secondary headaches. Secondary headaches are due to things such as trauma, vascular or homeostasis issues, intracranial disorders, withdrawal or use of substances, and infection. On top of these common causes, our neck can play a role in our symptoms (cerviocgenic headache). The prevalence of cervicogenic headaches is low compared to migraine and tension- type headaches which are among the most common diseases in the world. Migraines are more common than diabetes, epilepsy and asthma combined. These conditions can be very debilitating and affect your quality of life considerably.
