Holiday season is officially upon us. It seems like the perfect season to put our health on the back burner with our busy schedules and thicker winter clothing. But staying healthy during this season doesn’t have to be difficult, challenging, or exhausting. This month’s challenge is designed to be flexible and doable. Throughout the month of December, our challenge will be to get 10,000 steps every day. If you don’t own an activity tracker, this is roughly the equivalent of walking 5 miles a day. You can get these steps in any way that is FUN for you. Whether you like going for long snowy runs with friends or shopping the mall or cleaning your house, the goal is to simply move your body every day. No matter which of the newest workout trends you may be enjoying, nothing is a substitute for getting an appropriate amount of movement throughout your day. You don’t even have to “work out” during this challenge- simply just get your steps in! Join us in this challenge as we stay healthy and fit throughout the holidays!
